I don’t actually know any mother-daughter pairs who play WoW together, but I do know a few father-daughter and father-son pairs who do, and they’re awesome. Computer games have such a reputation for getting in the way of family relationships, it’s really nice to see them actually pulling people together. Of course, we all know some families who should definitely not be pulled together under any circumstances.
And my mother? My mother is wonderful and I love her, but she has much better things to do with her time than play computer games.
oh that reminds me, I need to run my daughter’s wee rogue through SM now that she’s back home! She had great fun telling her boyfriend she dragged her mum off to do some battlegrounds. =)

I hope your daughter knows how lucky she is!

“Another alt? When are you going to level your main so we can get Classy Night Elves?” – very close to an actual quote in my household. Yeah, my nine year old daughter loves the starter areas. All of them. Which makes her mother impatient at times.

Sounds like a great family life.

My cousin tried to suck me into WoW. I managed to fend him off. Then two of my friends…excuse me…”friends”…and now I’m a hopeless addict. What’s worse is I managed to get my wife addicted. WHEN WILL THE MADNESS END???

The madness never ends. I think you and I know that pretty well! Like my father always used to say… if you’re going crazy, you might as well enjoy the trip!

My daughter plays. But I played first. I don’t play WITH her much, because I tend to have all top-level alts, and her highest is in the low 70s. She likes to make LOTS of alts and play them a little and not keep them. I introduced my dad and my sister to the game almost 2 years ago. Dad’s in our raid group now!

Three generations of a family playing the same game? That’s pretty awesome in its own right!
