Okay, now we know why the Alliance is the Chicago Cubs of Azeroth: this is the quality of their soldiers. I mean, I get that “kill the dudes to get the keys to open the cages and let your dudes out” is a standard type of quest, but honestly, guys!  They’re not even cages!  They’re roofless, rickety bundles of twigs put together by mentally defective monkey people!  An asthmatic toddler could kick his way out of them.  Or, I don’t know, climb out the open top!

  1. Oh my. Here all this time I just thought that all the npcs were girly girls (or guys) and just had their nails done… rendering them helpless for the next hour or two while the paint dries.

    • “Why didn’t you yell for help?”
“I’m a singer! I could lose my voice!”

  2. I… I never even realized this. i did this quest three times, and was all “Okay, cages… kill some guys, get the keys, yadda yadda I know the drill…” – I’m a perfectly brainwashed Alliance soldier. Oh my.

    • It’s these little things you pay attention to when you’re desperately trying to think of something to make a comic about by your weekly deadline. ;)

      • There’s always the fact that you get stunned by a net. Although I think the inescapable net of doom gag has been done before.

    • Down! Bad Ally! You should know better than to try to protect yourself.

  4. Well, to be fair, there were hozen hanging in the nearby trees. Could be a “Try to escape and we start flinging” sort of threat to keep them inside.

    • True, that would be pretty convincing. :p

  5. If the orcs don’t need any volunteers, c’mon down to Deathknell. Of course, you’ll have to die first, but we’ll do our best to make it quick. :)

    • Eh, tempting, but I’m kind of attached to my knees, you know? I just can’t see myself without them. ;)

  6. Thank the Jade Serpent I wasn’t the only one to notice this and think those NPCs were idiots!
