Secret Greatfather Winter: for Disciplinary Action

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: — tabulacandida @ 6:00 AM

A couple weeks ago, Azarizotza, artist of Torment of the Week, suggested a Secret Santa Greatfather Winter swap among WoW comic artists– everyone who goes in draws a special Winter’s Veil comic for another artist.  I was unsure whether I should participate at first.  I don’t have much artistic talent (which is why I fake it with graphics programs), and I didn’t know if I could live up to someone else’s sense of humor and style.  But I took the plunge, and I’m glad I did because I’ve had a lot of fun.

Lorgrokni’s Travels made a wonderful comic for AFR.  I keep going back to check it out again and it cracks me up every time.  Thank you, Lorgrokni!

My comic is for Disciplinary Action.  If you haven’t checked out Disciplinary Action, you should.  It’s both a blog full of terrific information for priests and a thoroughly enjoyable comic following the adventures of Liala, Blood Elf priest.  Enjoy!

<<First comic <Previous comic | Next comic> Latest comics>>

Side notes to the author of Disciplinary Action: I’m just assuming here that Kachunk the orc is a warrior, but he sure looks like it.  I couldn’t find a good match for either character’s clothes in my limited repertoire, but I did my best.  I had a wonderful time reading back through your comics and coming up with this; I hope you enjoy it, too!  Merry Winter’s Veil!

  1. AHHHHHHHHH, I love it, I love it!! It’s made of win! And rainbows! And fourteen kittens!!!

Thank you SO much for the fantabulous gift; I am deeply honored and quite helpless with laughter.

(And Kachunk is a warrior! And you’d better believe he’s specced prot from now on, that bastard.)

  2. That was awesome!

It’s as if you cracked open DA’s mind, read her thoughts, ran away in fear, got therapy, and 20 years later was able to finally get it out of your system.

Which is how I pretty much figure she does it, too.

    That, and booze.

… well, it was awesome, no matter what.

    • Thanks, glad you liked it.

Actually, when I went reading back through Disciplinary Action to get a sense of the comic, I thought: “This sounds like a person with the same kind of sense of humor I have.” I had a lot of fun playing with DA’s characters, and I’m really glad she approves of what I did with them.

Well, there was a little booze involved, but not that much.
