AFR #155 – Coup de grace

I recently leveled both a warrior and a paladin through Outlands and was struck by how much agility there is on the plate gear.  It’s a memory of a bygone era when when agility was actually good for plate-wearing classes– elegant gear from a more civilized age, before the dark times, before the Cataclysm…

  1. Alas… I remember those days… clunky rogue class officer with 80% crit chance… then it was all.. “Grey, get rid of those agi gems, you’re not a rogue.”

    • You’re the best clunky rogue I’ve ever known. I like to think of my combat rogue as a squishy warrior.

  2. oy, and all the int mail that USED to be good for hunters that now, despite how hard it can be to find JUST agility mail, someone looks at you wearing your first outland upgrades and sneers.

*sigh* I remember that being good gear. :-S

    • Oh, that’s right, I hadn’t thought of that. Poor hunters going through those levels, I feel for them.

  3. Just wait until Gord finds the +INT chest that’s still an upgrade over his old one.

    • Yeah, I know that feeling. It’s clearly paladin gear– but it’s an upgrade for my warrior!

  5. Is it wrong that I want to see the Paladin Lake production now?

Oh, and being extra-nimble probably helps keep one from winding up under the Fel Reaver’s massive and STEALTHY foot. So many deaths to him…

    • So true. It’s amazing how a fifty-foot mechanical monstrosity can be so good at sneaking up on people.
