Of course, anything datamined off the PTR has to be taken as only slightly more reliable than a pencil sketch on the back of an envelope fished out of Ghostcrawler’s waste basket, but the idea of triple spec is still intriguing.  Of course, it would make a much bigger difference to some classes than to others.  Druids, paladins, and monks, for instance, have the choice of being tanks, dps, or healers.  Rogues and hunters, on the other hand, are really only choosing between different methods of sticking pointy things into their enemies.

  1. Three ways to stab things…works for me! LOL

    • Keep your friends wet, but keep your enemies on fire. Works for me. :p

  3. Honestly I see no reason why not. There is little point to ‘immersion’ in forcing someone back to their class trainer. Honestly, if that was the goal you should have to level each spec, with some bonuses based on how far the others are… and that would just be painful for most of us.
The downside I do see is that now people will carry more sets of gear, feel even more that there is not enough bag space, and Blizzard has stated it does not feel that more space is the solution.

    • Yeah, it’s pretty shocking already how much stuff I have to carry around in my bags. I can’t imagine carrying three different sets of gear.

  4. horadric cube… fuse different gear together to have one set of gear that changes based on your spec. 😀

    • Now, that’s a solution!
