Ah, Desolace. Yes… Desolace. So many happy memories of questing in Desolace. Memories like… Like… Okay, I have no happy memories of Desolace. I have done my very best to forget that Desolace even exists.
On my very first toon I did all the Desolace quests I could find because I’m a completionist and I couldn’t bear the thought of dropping quests, even if it meant spending my leisure time in a depressing gray wasteland. After that, I decided: “Screw it,” and my alts have barely set foot in the zone. Of all the changes that are coming in Cataclysm, I think I’m looking forward to the greening of Desolace the most.

I recently took an alt through Desolace, and concluded that my many happy memories of the zone were, in fact, memories of *leaving* that thrice-cursed wasteland.
When Deathwing rips Azeroth apart, I’m going to send him a thank-you card and a fruit basket for destroying Desolace.

LOL!!! I hate everything about that place! I mean, it even contains the single most frustrating dungeon in existence, Mara!
This reminds me of this clip from Cannibal the Musical… Think maybe Desolace was modeled after Wyoming?
