The leveling gear in Draenor is certainly savage, if by “savage” you mean “ragged and skimpy.”  At least this time around the men’s gear is just as skimpy as the women’s.  Fair is fair, you know.

I loved my garrison for about a week.  Then, once the novelty wore off, it became the major reason I wasn’t logging on.  I was hoping that the garrison would be a place in the world of WoW that I could make my own.  Instead it’s another checklist of things to get done.

When did “We want you to be out exploring the world and interacting with other players” become “We want you to be stuck in one town alone running errands all day”?

I’m with Gord and Alaxia here, as you can probably guess.  The Draenor introductory experience is really well-crafted, polished, and a good introduction to the new expansion.  I have nothing but good things to say about it as a gameplay experience.

I’m just completely not interested in another expansion all about bad orcs doing bad things.  Introducing them to me like the opening credits of an 80’s adventure show doesn’t change my mind on that.  I’m sure it’s a nice shot of nostalgia if you played the old RTS games, but I didn’t.

Now, on the other side of that introductory experience is a fascinating world full of wonderful things to explore and I’m having a great time there.  I would be perfectly content to tromp around Draenor and never see any of those big-name orcs from the starting experience again.

So, this would have been funnier if, as intended, it had come out on the expansion release day, but my computer problems earlier in the fall foiled that plan.  Oh well.  I hope you’re all enjoying Draenor!
