So, I had an idea for this week’s comic and I spent about four hours working on it before deciding that the joke just wasn’t funny. So what’s a talentless hack of a comic writer to do? Why, slap together a reference to a much better comic and hope some funniness rubs off by association! After all, imitation is the sincerest form of abject desperation.
Here’s one of the images from the original comic I was making.
I’m pretty pleased with how the artwork came out (although there’s something wrong with that elbow that I didn’t get fixed before giving up because the joke just didn’t work).

Video settings, schmideo settings. Whatever’s necessary to just totally pwn face, right? Right? Wait…why is my character a sprite now?
The elbow does indeed look a bit funky, but the rest? To say it rocks would be an understatement. In fact, I believe there’s only one word that describes it…DAY-amn!!!

yeah, lets just say unless I set my video settings on my mac laptop to a level that’d make even those stick figures into unrecognizable pixels chunks… it’ll over heat, burst into flames, and power down. but not before sterilizing me for at least the next 50 years… maybe I shouldn’t put this on my lap anymore…
luckily I have a pc now that can handle max settings easy… though I feel like I’m cheating on my mac whenever I use it. XD

I remember rolling Worgens with my nephew and co-oping through the starting area. When we got to the cutscene of the destruction down at the Gilneas docks, his dad’s iMac had this gorgeous panoramic view stretching out into the distance… My MacBook had fog over the docks.
Yeah, I didn’t upgrade to the 15″ MBP just for the larger screen…

Yep, I can still remember when I got my first computer upgrade after starting to play WoW. “You mean it isn’t incredibly foggy in every zone all the time? Woah!”
