AFR #99 – Failure is gnot an option

Despite what you may think from this comic, I loved Operation Gnomeregan.  I’ve always been delighted by the gnomes and their plucky, cheerful, can-do spirit.  The Gnomeregan event was gnomishness triumphant, with plenty of humor and nostalgia.  On top of all that, the music was fantastic.  I’ve done Operation Gnomeregan with every one of my Alliance characters and loved it every time.

But Jesus Herbert Walker Christ, Blizzard, would it have killed you to do just a little more quality control on this thing before releasing it?!  Who thought it was a good idea to release an event that bugs out if anyone goes into the tunnel when the npc you’ve been taking orders from says: “Into the tunnels!”?  Not to mention one that can bug after everyone has jumped down the deactivated elevator shaft, so that no one can get out without hearthing.

I hope that the spirit and creativity of this event are a taste of what’s to come in Cataclysm– and I hope Cataclysm is getting some more thorough testing.
